Attitude

Got up this morning with a positive attitude. I weighed and it wasn't as bad as I had thought it might be. I had gained back what I lost plus 2#'s. I knew I had gained back, but was dreading the plus and was thankful it was only 2. The knee is still talking, but not as bad as before. So I an not going to aggravate it and will start walking when it's no long talking. Must stay positive and focused on the goal.

Starting Again

Well tomorrow is the day and I am trying to get motivated. My knee is giving me fits, so I am going to try the dieting for a week or two and hopefully lose and then will start walking. Will have to see if the knee will hold out. Wish me luck!

Well I have fallen completely off the wagon...boo hoo! But enough of that. Monday I am gearing up to start again. You ask, why not today? I am getting over being sick and do not want to relapse. You may consider that an excuse and you have the right to your opinion, but Monday it is. Wish me success...I'm going to apparently need it.

So-So

That is the kind of week I am having. It did rain yesterday and I got out Richard Simmons and Danced to the Oldies. It was fun. I didn't do much else. LBC was canceled and mom and I just played Scrabble and I cooked. I am having a hard time staying on track on the eating. I have had 2nds a couple of times....shame on me, but I got up this morning with a new attitude and hit the rode walking. It made me feel so much better. It clears my head and give me time to reflect. Its good for me in several ways. So as of now I am back on track and plan to stay there. It IS going to be a good end to a So-So week. Must stay focused and postive....

Success!!!

Week: 1 Pounds Lost: 3.5

Yes, to be honest I was at first disappointed in the number. So I marched out to the freezer, took out 4-1 lb. packages of butter, looked at it and thought...good job. I doubled my distance on my walk this morning increasing the time to 45 min. I will probably do this route for 2 weeks. But we'll see. I also had great success staying on track while out of town this weekend. It was just absolutely awesome!!!!!! We are suppose to have storms in the morning and if we do, I thought, "what can I do?" I remembered by old Richard Simmons tapes and we still have an old VHS player, so I will 'Dance to the Oldies'! At least I will be moving. So that problem was solved. Life is good.......

I am doing so well. I have always had a hard time remaining disciplined enough to finish a task such as losing weight. Monday night was Bunco and I decided to do it right... I had to stick to my set plan. So I ate BEFORE I went to Bunco and ate no table snacks. That was really an accomplishment for me. I am continuing on my present walking route and this morning begin to see the time reduced. That was another goal. I am taking this one day at a time, putting one foot in front of the other and saying, "No, I am not going to go backwards." So far so good.

I got the scales yesterday and used them this morning. I was surprised at the number, it not being as high as I had anticipated. I am not ready to publish the number, but will...one day. I then dusted off my walking shoes and walked for 30 minutes. I will walk this route for a week and then increase the distance. I have had a good day as far as food goes. I am watching the fat intake. I have done this before and it has been successful and there is so much more to chose from. Live is good.........
